Champagne in short supply for millennium?

January 19, 1999 By admin

(Des Moines) Wine experts say it’s not too early to start buying champagne for the party of the millennium. Bubbly will most likely be inshort supply within several weeks of next New Year’s Eve. Some predict the shortage could hit by October, and fine champagne will likely be gone in a few months. To make sure the champagne you buy now is still good in a year, store it properly. Tip the bottle on it’s side… it keeps the cork moist and tight in the bottle.
