Vilsack wants gambling bucks for culture and recreation

Governor Vilsack wants some of the state’s gamblingfunds used to improve Iowa’s culture and recreational opportunities. Vilsack says he plans to use some of the taxes from Iowa’s riverboatsand race track and casinos as grants for cultural and recreational projects. Gambling taxes are expected to top 150-million dollars this year.
