For the first time, someone in Iowa has been sent to yearsprison for transmitting the AIDS virus. 46-year-old Robert Bradfield ofDubuque has been convicted for transmitting the virus to an 11-year-old boy. The boy has so far, developed no sign of the disease.Bradfield is sentenced to 25 years in prison, but is expected to die fromAIDS complications before the end of the year.
