Worker shortage a problem in Iowa

A study of Iowa’s workforce says the current worker shortageis Iowa’s most serious problem since the 1980’s farm crisis. The report,prepared by the Iowa Business Council, finds a quarter of a million Iowajobs go unfilled due to a lack of trained workers. Governor Vilsack is proposing one-and-three-quarters million dollars inforgivable loans for Iowa workers who go back to school for new jobtraining
