NOW leader speaks in Bettendorf

The new Planned Parenthood clinic in Bettendorf has been the target of alot of fighting over the past couple of years, even before its doors open. During a stop in the Quad Cities, the President of the National Organization for Women told those working for the clinic it’ll take courage. Patricia Ireland said NOW is launching a campaign to get two-thousand feminists elected to office in the year 2000. Ireland says women need to exercise their political power.
