Snow threat diminishes

March 10, 1999 By admin

Except for school kids who’re hoping for another snow day, most Iowans will be glad to hear the updated forecast calls for very little snow toaccumulate today. Meteorologist Brad Small at the National Weather Service office in metro Des Moines says this latest storm system weakened while on its way to Iowa. Snowfall statewide today may only equate to another inch at most. Monday’s winter blast dumped up to 14 inches on parts of the state.
