The Central Iowa Drug Task force broke up what is being described as a”sizeable” meth lab in eastern Boone county near Ames today. Police arrested39-year old Brian Knouse of Ames on charges of manufacturing meth andpossession of stolen property. Ames police spokesman Sergeant Randy Kesslesays they found the lab after stopping Knouse’s truck.The lab was located in a storage unit. Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr was onthe scene and says they recovered large amounts of meth making chemicals.The meth bust comes just a day after Boone County officials made what isbeing called the biggest meth bust so far this year.
