Iowan seeks record card house

An Iowa State University graduate is back on campus trying to reclaim therecord for the tallest house of cards. Brian Berg has held the record ninetimes since 1992. He is creating his latest attempt in the atrium of the ISUCollege of Design building.He expects to finish the card house later today. The 25-year old from SpiritLake has perfected a technique in which he will use 12-hundred regular decksof playing cards.Berg has made a career our of building card houses and other structures. Hesays though, the job hasn’t become routine.Berg has built stadiums of cards for the baseball all-start game and for theNational Hockey League all-star games. Berg says the latest card structurewill weigh about 160 pounds and will be up for a couple of days beforecrashing down.
