Heavy rains erode Winnebago county land

Winnebago County officials are surveying erosion damage done by heavy rainsthis weekend. Rainfall totals ranged from one inch to just over fourinches in a period of an hour. Winnebago County district conservationistScott Huso says the large amount of rain in such a short period causedquick run off that took soil with it.He says the damage depends on how much rain fell.Huso says the southeast portion of the county saw the most erosion.
