Donna Reed festival underway in Dennison

The water tower in Denison reads “It’s a Wonderful Life” but it’s also aBUSY life there this week. The 14th annual Donna Reed Festival is underwaybringing in dozens of Hollywood producers, actors and writers to teachhundreds of wanna-be stars some of the tricks of the trade.Sandra Scott, director of the Donna Reed Foundation, says the Festivalnamed after the late actress, who was born in Denison, features dozens ofworkshops that are bringing in busloads of students.Though several workshops are sold out, Scott says many still have seatsavailable. The subjects include: acting, auditioning, modeling, filmmaking,production, writing, dance, singing and more — taught by the experts.The festival runs through Saturday in Denison.
