Congressman says gun bill contains 40 amendments

U-S House members are now considering some 40 amendments to a gun controlbill, according to Iowa Congressman Tom Latham. The Alexander republicansays the juvenile justice bill is being divided into two seperate bills –one to cover youth crime and violent cultural influences, the other that’dtarget gun shows.Latham says he’d support common-sense gun controls, even though critics haveblasted the measures as they would not have stopped the killings severalweeks ago at a Colorado school.Latham says the real solutions come from families, communities and churches.
