ESPN-2 to televise Iowa boxing matches

A professional boxing card in Des Moines next month will be televised byESPN-2. The co-main event on the card includes Grinnell light heavyweightJimmy Crawford who will matchup against Joey Hughes from New York. Back inFebruary, Hughes earned a controversial split decision in their first fightand Crawford says he is happy to get a rematch.Crawford sees this as a make-or-break fight for his career.Four other Iowa boxers will be part of the undercard and Crawford says itwill be a chance to showcase some boxing talent from the Hawkeye state.The Des Moines Metro Ice Sports Arena will host the fight card on July 23rd.Other Iowans scheduled to take part include Des Moines heavyweight TyeFields and Marshalltown super middleweight Tony Fann.
