Estes sings, raises money

July 2, 1999 By admin

Opera star Simon Estes will perform over the weekend in Greenfield to help raise funds for restoration of the local opera house. Estes is concerned many young people are missing out on the arts he’s enjoyed. Estes believes art education classes are needed in America’s schools. Estes says classical works touch the heart and soul. Estes hopes to promote greater support for the arts. Estes signed C.D.’s and his book during a Friday afternoon autograph session in Greenfield.
