Familiar faces volunteer at U-S Open

Thirty-four hundred volunteers are working at the U-S Senior Open thisweek, including some recognizable names. Hy-Vee C-E-O Ron Pearson can befound stocking the water cooler in the media center and Mary Kramer,president of the Iowa Senate is also volunteering her time. Kramer says forher it was an easy decision to take part.Kramer says organizers have done a nice job of varying shifts this week so volunteers are not forced to put in long days.Kramer says despite her lofty rank in the legislature, she is just one of many volunteers at the open.Despite the warm weather this week and jam packed crowds Kramer says fans have displayed good behavior so far.Tournament play began this morning and runs through Sunday.
