Governor makes appointments to disabilities post

Iowa government has a new coordinator to implement affirmative action andAmericans with Disabilities Act rules. The position, which has been vacantfor the past four years, has been filled by Eric Anderson of Ames.Governor Vilsack has also appointed Marilyn Turner of Waterloo as executivedirector of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities. Turner isconfined to a wheelchair.Lieutenant Governor Sally Pedersen says 80-thousand Iowans who havedisabilities are unable to find a job.
