Iowa universities bucking national trend in male enrollment

College administrators say Iowa is bucking a national trend. The Department of Education says male college enrollment is rapidly dropping on campuses across the U-S — but Iowa’s three state universities show a steady increase. Mark Harding is the director of admissions at Iowa State University.He says enrollment of women does outpace that of men because many schools offer programs to attract women.Harding says the national numbers are not a reason for concern.
