Smokers try to kick their habit

Iowans may’ve been near edgy co-workers all day — people who are trying to kick cigarettes as part of the annual Great American Smokeout. Jennifer Lane, spokeswoman for the American Cancer Society office in Fort Dodge, says it gives smokers a day to focus on booting the bad habit.She says smokers who want to quit CAN do it today.The Cancer Society says smoking is the leading preventable cause of death and disability in the U-S.
