It’s a big holiday travel day across the U-S

November 24, 1999 By admin

Many Americans will hit the road later today on the way to Thanksgiving Day festivities. Barb Buchholtz (buckles) is with Triple A of Iowa says twenty-seven-point-eight million Americans will travel by automobile. Buchholtz (buckles) says you can avoid the traffic snarls by planning your trip around the busy travel times. She also urges you to drive carefully. You can expect to pay a little more to fuel up for the trip as the average price for gas in Iowa is one dollar and sixteen cents a gallon, compared to 98 cents a gallon last year.Buchholtz says you’ll see more big trucks on the road during this holiday as it’s a busy time for truckers supplying materials for the holidays.
