Three time champ starts quest for fourth basketball crown

The three-time state champion Lynnville-Sully Hawkettes open their season tonight against Colfax-Mingo as part of a four-team opening night in the tourney at Lynnville-Sully. The first game is H-L-V against Pleasantville at 6:30. Jerry Hulsing, coach of Lynnville-Sully, says several key players graduated, but he says there’s no substitution for success.He says members of the varsity team did what they had to do to get better during the off-season.Hulsing hopes his team will be back at the top again, despite being basically an all-new squad.
