Democrat presidential candidate Bill Bradley continues to swing back at opponent Al Gore, charging the Vice President with distorting his positions on a variety of issues. Bradley told the crowd viscious political rhetoric is turning people off.Bradley, a Rhodes scholar, made a direct appeal to students in the audience at Morningside College. He says if they think they’re bright and don’t get involved in politics, then they’re letting people who aren’t as smart dictate the future of politics. With just five weeks left before the Iowa Caucuses, the pace of presidential politiking is picking up here, with Bradley and republican candidates Orrin Hatch and Gary Bauer campaigning here today.
