Utah Senator Orrin Hatch, a candidate for the G-O-P’s presidential nomination, is campaigning in northeast Iowa today. During an appearance in Oelwein, Hatch made a promise to name Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley Ag Secretary if he’s elected.Hatch claims to have won last Monday’s debate featuring him and the other five Republican candidates.Hatch has been a member of the U-S Senate for the past 23 years. Republican candidate Gary Bauer is also campaigning in eastern Iowa today.
