Hawkeye men get down to coference play

The Iowa Hawkeyes open Big Ten play at home against Northwestern tonight. The Hawks are 6-5 on the season and coach Steve Alford says as a first-year coach he does not know where his team will fit into the mix. He says coaches and players will get on-the-job experience of what it takes to win the conference.Alford says the Big Ten season offers both teams a new start.
