January 12, 2000 By admin

An arrest has been made nearly a year after the murder of a Britt teenager. 19-year-old Jackie Folkerts was sexually assaulted & stabbed to death on January 24, 1999, in her home. 21-year-old Bradley Erdahl, formerly of Britt, was arrested Tuesday in Georgia at the Fort Gordon Army base & charged with murder. Hancock County Attorney Todd Holmes says Erdahl knew Folkerts. He says DNA evidence left at the scene of the crime helped them to link Erdahl to the crime. Holmes says no motive has been determined.Holmes says Erdahl will have to be extradited. If convicted, Erdahl would face a mandatory life term.
