January 20, 2000 By admin

Since many Iowa schools let out early due to yesterday’s snowstorm, many students didn’t get the chance to take part in the first-ever Iowa Youth Mock Caucus. Donn Stanley, a spokesman for the Iowa Secretary of State, says the event to promote political involvement is being held over.Stanley says the voting period will run through 2:30 this afternoon, as high schoolers choose their favorite presidential candidate. The real caucuses will be held next Monday night.
