Man arrested in Sioux City after stand off

A Nebraska man wanted in his home state has been arrested following a standoff that began last night at a Sioux City motel. Sioux City police chief Joe Frisbie says 34-year old Lance McDaniel gave up late this morning.Frisbie credits officers in the department’s Strategic Emergency Response team with getting McDaniel to give up without hurting himself or anyone else.McDaniel is wanted in Nebraska on several felony charges. Frisbie says McDaniel will likely be extradited to Nebraska.
