Experts are advising current and potential college students to get financial aid information completed in the next couple of weeks. Steve Loven is the director of the College Planning Center in Des Moines. He says February is “Financial Aid Awareness Month.” Loven says many colleges want the financial age forms by March 1.For those students entering college for the first time in the fall, you can begin the process at your high school where there is financial aid information.The College Planning Center is a non-profit division of the Student Loan Liquidity Corporation. Loven says they offer financial aid help for free. Loven says you can contact his office toll-free anywhere in the state at 1-877-272-4692. Loven says the Iowa College Student Aid Commission can also help you prepare financial aid information.
