Two killed in Henry County accident

March 16, 2000 By admin

Two Henry County teens were killed and three children were hurt in a car-truck collision yesterday near Mount Pleasant. The dead are: 14-year-old Christina Rogers of Mt Pleasant & 15-year-old Crystal Sanderson of Rome. A 16-year-old was at the wheel — Desiree McKita, who was injured. Two Mt Pleasant children were also hurt, ages nine and 11. The truck driver wasn’t seriously hurt. Troopers say the car the teens were riding in failed to yield at an intersection & collided with the truck. No charges are filed. The wreck is still under investigation.
