Pickup drivers under scrutiny in Davenport abduction case

March 24, 2000 By admin

The six attempted abductions of little girls in the Quad Cities have police and the public on the look-out for a suspect. Davenport police say they have a description of the man but aren’t ready to make an arrest. The man drives a dark-colored pickup and has tried to get the young girls to get into the truck. The man involved is described as white, thin, in his 30’s with dark hair and a beard. Police say that description fits a lot of people, so residents and police are looking at anyone in a dark truck. A couple of pickups at a Davenport gas stations were blocked in until people could check out their drivers.
