Warner helps Red Cross raise funds

Super Bowl M-V-P Kurt Warner returned to Iowa Saturday to appear at a fundraiser for the Hawkeye Chapter of the American Red Cross in Waterloo. Warner signed autographs and appeared at a banquet for the annual Don Denkinger Sports Spectacular, a fundraiser named for the former Major League umpire from Waterloo. Warner says he’s finally recovered from the hectic pace of his life during the season.Warner says while things have slowed down, it’s still hard to go about his every day life without being noticed.The St. Louis Rams quarterback feels good about his team repeating as world champs even with the changes made in the off season.Event organizers say it looks like Warner’s appearance helped them raise over 50-thousand dollars.
