A former Bettendorf firefighter has been cleared of harassment charges. A jury found Kevin McDonnell did not harass his neighbor by sending her anti-abortion material. The jury ruled that McDonnell’s wife was guilty of harrassment in the case. Assistant Scott County Attorney Rob Cusack says McDonnell’s wife was found guilty of harassment because she knew the woman had already had the abortion.McDonnell lost his job as a Bettendorf fireman for mailing the materials from work. He recently lost an appeal to get his job back. McDonell’s wife faces 30 days in jail and a 500 dollar fine when she’s sentenced May 2nd.
