UNI coach happy with season

Northern Iowa baseball coach Rick Heller feels a good foundation is in place after his first season as Panther coach. U-N-I finished 23-33 overall in the just-completed season and 9-22 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Heller says while they were hoping for more victories, there were a number of positives from the season. Heller says there is always a period of adjustment when you take over a program.Heller says their goal for next season will be to qualify for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
