The state has fined a Manchester business 10-thousand dollars for failing to report releases of sulfuric acid. Excide Battery officials say they’ve paid to repair workers’ vehicles which were damaged as the gas escaped the plant. An air-scrubber failed. State environmental officials have told the company to develop a plan to prevent future releases.
