Three-on-three soccer tourney hits Des Moines

More than 180 soccer teams from across the state will be in Des Moines this weekend for the Sunny Delight Shootout. Summit Sports will be hosting the event in which teams will look to qualify for a regional event in Chicago. Spokesman Kenton Jurgensen says the difference with this tournament is the games are three-on-three.Jurgensen says the interest in three-on-three soccer has increased in recent years.Jurgensen says many players find three-on-three soccer a way to work on individual skills. The tournament will run Saturday and Sunday.
