Central College got taste of playoffs, wants more

After getting a taste of the national playoffs last season Central football coach Rich Kacmarynski says his veteran team is hungry for more. The Dutch have 27-seniors back from last year’s team that finished 10-2 and advanced to the second round of the division-three playoffs.Central posted that record a year ago despite suffering through an injury plagued season. He says at one point in time they were playing their fourth string quarterback.Senior Scott Koerselmann returns as the starting quarterback after undergoing surgery on his injured shoulder in the off-season. Kacmarynski says Koerselman appears ready to go.Koerselmann is one of three quarterbacks on the roster who saw substantial action last season.Central opens September second at Upper Iowa.
