Wartburg ready to defend Iowa Conference crown

The Wartburg football team is looking forward to defending its Iowa Conference championship. The Knights finished the regular season 10-0 in winning the title in 1999.Wartburg coach Rick Willis says defending the title will not be easy as the Iowa Conference is a tough league every year. He says his team needs to play up to its potential.One of the keys will be replacing all-league quarterback Matt Wheeler. He says the spot is wide open at this point.Wartburg opens September second at Dubuque.
