Officials in Clinton County are trying to cut down on the number of lead poisoning cases among children. Kelly Stoller of the Visiting Nurses Association says 500 Clinton County children have been poisoned by lead in the past eight years.Stoller is trying to educate people about how to properly remove the paint.The lead dust in the air is more harmful than the lead chips children may eat. Stoller says it can cost several hundred dollars to properly remove lead-based paint.
