Texans go home in ISU/Baylor matchup

September 29, 2000 By admin

When Iowa State visits Baylor on Saturday it will be a homecoming for a dozen members of the squad. Four Texans are in the Cyclone’s starting line-up, including offensive lineman Lorenzo White who says he needed 22-tickets for the game and had to borrow from his teammates.Defensive back Jamarcus Powers did not know about Iowa State until the recruiting process began while he was in Junior College.Powers says he is not caught up in the idea of going back to Texas because there is too much riding on the game. He says it’s one of the stepping stones to a successful season. With a victory, the Cyclones would be 4-0 for the first time in 20-years.
