Iowa State University football fans began buying tickets for their first bowl game in 22 years today. The Cyclones will face Pittsburgh in the “Insight.com” Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona on December 28th. Iowa State senior quarterback Sage Rosenfels is anxious to play in the game.The team’s co-mvp knows a little bit about their opponent after watching them on TV a few times. He says Pitt will be a tough team.Rosenfels says the Cyclones are ready to avoid the bowl game letdown that some teams suffer. He says they’ve been focused in practices and plan to stay that way.Senior safety Dustin Avey is also excited about the opportunity to play another game.Avey is an Ames native who knows alot about the struggles the Cyclones have endured.Avey says the dream has finally become a reality now that they know where they’re going.ISU finished the regular season at 8-3, while Pittsburgh was 7-4.
