Ten days before Christmas, the International Paper factory in Clinton is announcing layoffs.Officials at the retail packaging business say the layoffs are due to a slowdown in orders. Up to 100 of its 400 employees will be laid off on a week-by-week basis. In August, I-P announced it was getting out of some parts of the food packing industry, resulting in 200 jobs being eliminated.
