Hawks seek to get back on winning track

January 24, 2001 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes try to end a two-game skid tonight on the road at Minnesota. Iowa Coach Steve Alford said the latest loss Saturday to Michigan was frustrating. The two losses dropped the Hawkeyes out of first place in the Big Ten. Alford says they need to get things turned around to have a shot at the conference title. Iowa comes into tonight’s game at 5-2 in the conference and 14-4 overall. Minnesota is also 3-2 in the conference and is 15-3 overall.
