Alford happy with his team’s conference position

Iowa coach Steve Alford says he is happy with the Hawkeyes position at the mid-way point of the Big Ten race. Iowa is 6-2 after Wednesday night’s nine-point victory over Minnesota.Alford says the Hawkeyes have put themselves in the upper tier of the conference race as they head down the stretch.The Hawkeyes are idle until next Wednesday’s game against Ohio State.
