A Mason City man was injured yesterday in an unusual accident involving a D-O-T snowblower. The Iowa State Patrol says an object was sucked into the snowblower as the operator cleared snow along Highway 14 north of Allison in Butler County. The object flew out of the blower and flew through the windshield of an oncoming truck. The driver of the truck, 38-year-old Tom Richardson, was treated and released for cuts on his face. The Patrol says the operator of the snowblower wasn’t hurt and no charges are expected to be filed.
