No one was hurt and damage was limited from an out-of-the-ordinary fire at a northeast Iowa factory. Real Wheel Manufacturing near Independence had a magnesium fire on Monday afternoon in the metal alloy chips that were a byproduct from the making of vehicle wheels. Firefighters used a foaming agent instead of water. A spark from a welder’s torch apparently caused the fire.
