Creston man faces vehicular homicide charges

A 38-year-old Creston man faces homicide charges for causing a traffic accident that killed a former Creston homecoming queen and her passenger in early February. Union County Attorney Tim Kenyon. says Darren Heckman faces two counts of vehicular homicide. Troopers on the accident scene say Heckman was drunk. Nineteen-year-old Kara Riepe of Creston and 20-year-old Aiden Kelly of Lorimor were killed in the wreck.
