Wartburg and Central ready for softball regionals

Wartburg College makes its first appearance in the N-C-A-A division three softball regionals since 1994 beginning tomorrow in Waverly. The Knights draw a first round bye and will play the winner of the game between Marian College and Wisconsin-Stevens Point.Randy Schneider says the players are thrilled with the opportunity.Schneider believes his team can come out of the regional if they play their best. Iowa Conference runner-up Central hosts a regional in Pella. The Dutch are seeded second and play Pacific Lutheran in the opening round.Central coach George Wares says a difficult regular season schedule can pay off at this time of year as his players are ready for a tough game.LuVerne of California is the top seeded team in the regional.
