Evansdale man arrested in murder of woman last fall

June 18, 2001 By admin

An Evansdale man has been formally charged in connection with the death last fall of a Waterloo woman.22-year-old Benjamin O’Donnell was formally charged in connection with the disappearance of Tracy Ann Carson last October 26th, after her 40th birthday party in Waterloo. Her body was found by a fisherman near Miller Creek in Blackhawk County on April 25th. Waterloo Police Chief Thomas Jennings said police aren’t yet releasing many details about the case, including how Tracy Carson died.Jennings says they’re still waiting for some data, though he says the lab work that done so far justifies the warrant and the arrest. O’Donnell is being held on two million dollars bond after his arrest on June 7 in Monterey County, California, on a probation violation. He’s being held in California pending extradition proceedings.
