Davenport airshow director injured in crash

The director of this weekend’s airshow in the Quad Cities was injured in a helicopter crash near Eldridge.The chopper piloted by Ken Hopper crashed in a field near his office Monday night. Hopper’s listed in fair condition at a Davenport hospital. A daughter who was riding with him was unhurt. A spokesperson says Hopper did not report the crash because he was not seriously hurt and there was no fire. The F-A-A has been called in to investigate.
