Cedar Rapids police investigate murder

June 21, 2001 By admin

A murder investigation is at full-throttle in Cedar Rapids after a 28-year-old man was shot to death early this morning. The victim is identified Tyrone Gilbert, who witnesses say was shot three times and killed after an argument in a home on the city’s southeast side about 1:30 a-m. It’s Cedar Rapids’ second murder this year after no killings in Iowa’s second-largest city in all of last year. No suspects are in custody in today’s case.
