Tuesday’s attack on the United States has left this weekend’s Iowa State-Iowa football game in limbo. Both coaches cancelled their weekly news conferences. Iowa athletic director Bob Bowlsby has been in contact with I-S-U athletic director Bruce Van DeVelde. Bowlsby says two factors are in play. One is logistics, and how possible travel will be. He says the occurrences have “rendered pale” anything else that is going on.Bowlsby would not speculate on when the game would be made up if it is postponed. He says both institutions would make every effort to play the game. He says the whole season could be moved back, depending on what happens nationwide.Bowlsby says they are visiting with conference and university officials.
