September 14, 2001 By admin

A memorial service at a Des Moines hospital today will remember a former employee who was killed in Tuesday’s jet crash at the Pentagon. 31-year-old Sandra Teague was a physical therapist at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, where DeAnn Cook is spokeswoman.Cook says everyone is welcome at today’s 2 p-m event as it will honor all of the victims in the terrorist attacks.Teague is a North Carolina native who was a student at Des Moines University from 1996 to ’98. She worked at Lutheran Hospital during school and for two years after she graduated. She moved to Fairfax, Virginia, in July of 2000. Teague was heading from Washington D-C to Los Angeles, enroute to Australia for a long-planned vacation. Cook says Teague was well liked and respected at the Des Moines hospital.Other former Iowans killed in Tuesday’s attacks include: 56-year-old Michael Tinley, of Council Bluffs, who was on the 100th floor of the World Trade Center working for an insurance brokerage firm; Karen Kincaide, a Waverly native, Drake University Law School Graduate and Washington D-C lawyer. Kincaide was on the same plane with Teague.
